Dont you hate it when....?

people ask how are you? it bothers me, especially when im at the store and the store clerk asks someone hello how are you and the other person responds even before the store clerk finishes by responding "hello how are YOU" Its so pive and careless. if you ask a foreigner how they are, theyll respond sincerely but here, everyone mistreats the phrase by using it as a greeting
