Is atheism a world view?

We don't organize our lives around a "negative proposition." I lack belief in god/s, so my world view isn't organized around theism. Instead, the way I personally look at life is through humanism, free thought, and rational inquiry. Atheism in and of itself is *only* the lack of belief in deities. There are other, non-theistic, philosophies and schools of thought which provide what I suppose you might call "structure." Because there are many, not all atheists are the same in regards to them: some are nihilists, some are hedonists, many are humanists, etc. There's no way to lump us all together under "lack of belief in god/s" and expect it to tell you anything meaningful about what we *do* believe.
