I need help with sound effects?

OK, I am learning how to play "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi on the b guitar, and I can't figure out how to make the sound effects that he does, where the b sounds like its saying "Woah-Woah-w-w-wo-woah" Can anyone tell me the equipment I need?
