On ice age 2: the meltdown does the glyptodon get eaten or become a monster?

we are watching ice age 2 and having an argument about whether the glyptodon (the turtle looking thing with a breathing straw) was eaten or the purple alligator turned it into another monster thing. please i need help FAST!
